This qualification enables you to provide therapeutic and program-related support to allied health professionals. You will be required to conduct therapeutic and program-related activities under the guidance of an allied health professional. Supervision may be direct, indirect or remote and must occur within organisational requirements. You are required to identify client circumstances that need additional input from the allied health professional.
Students wishing to undertake Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance will be required to complete 120hrs work placement at a health care facility that offers allied health services*

The Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance consists of 22 units: 7 prerequisite units, 4 compulsory core units and 11 elective units.

NB: All 11 electives must be completed.
*Most health care facility require students on placement to hold HLTFA311A Apply first aid before placement commences. Students who already hold HLTFA311A Apply first aid can seek a credit transfer from the AIFL towards an elective.
